Itinerary:

DAY 1 | BEIRUT - YEREVAN

Upon arrival to Yerevan airport, you will be welcomed, assisted and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Afterwards, you will start the “pink city” tour, where you will visit Republic square, Mashtots Avenue, the House of Opera and Ballet – Aram Khachaturian, the “Cascad” park and the Manuscript Museum of Armenia. Wrapping up the first day, the next site is filled with history and cultural memories; you’ll stop over the Genocide Memorial, known as Tsitsernakaberd. 

 

DAY 2 | YEREVAN - GARNI - GEGHARD - YEREVAN

After Breakfast, you will leave Yerevan to Garni and visit the Pagan Temple, the only sanctuary to have been preserved from the Pagan times in Armenia. Devoted to the god Mihr, god of cleanness, the temple was destroyed in 1679 by an earthquake and was restored in 1975. Moving on, you will head to Geghard Monastery named after the legendary lance that was used to pierce the body of Christ and has been kept there for centuries. Finally you’ll drive back to Yerevan to spend the night.

DAY 3 | YEREVAN - TBILISI

You will be transferred after breakfast to the airport to take the flight to Tbilisi.

Arriving to Tbilisi you’ll enjoy a morning city tour going through the Old Tbilisi Sulfur Baths, the Georgian Orthodox and Armenian Gregorian churches, the Jewish synagogue, and also the Turkish mosque founded side by side; reflecting the city’s acceptance and tolerance of different religions. Then, you’ll be visiting the Metekhi Church, raised on a cliff and overlooking the Mtkvari River and Narikala fortress. You’ll continue on a downtown walk and discover Shardeni Street with its fashionable cozy cafes and art galleries. Roaming the city, you will come across the oldest church in Tbilisi. The Anchiskhati church is entrusted with the miraculous icon of Jesus Christ. Finally, the tour takes you to Rustaveli Avenue, where you will see the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Parliament, the Rustaveli Theatre, and many art galleries and cafes. The rest of the afternoon time will be dedicated for your leisure.

DAY 4 | TBILISI - ANANURI - KAZBEGI - TBILISI

Moving on a day’s escapade after breakfast, you’ll be travelling to the Great Caucasus Mountains along the Georgian Military Highway. First you’ll get to see the Ananuri fortified church; going over the Jvari (Cross) Pass you’ll arrive to Kazbegi and enjoy some free time in town.

You can also venture into an optional tour by taking on a 4WD journey to visit Gergeti Church and enjoy the great views of Mt. Kazbegi and Kazbegi settlement. You’ll then return to town and take a transfer back to Tbilisi.

DAY 5 | TBILISI

After having breakfast, you’ll have the day dedicated for your leisure and at your discretion.

DAY 6 | TBILISI - YEREVAN

On your sixth day, you’ll head back to Yerevan on an early morning flight. Arriving to the capital, you’ll take a transfer to Ejmiatsin where you’ll start an excursion through centuries-old monuments in Ejmiatsin and Zvartnots. You’ll get to see the Cathedral of Ejmiatsin founded in 303 and the official residence of the Catholicos of Armenia. Then you’ll continue your trip to Zvartnots Temple which was built in the 7th century by Nerses Builder Catholicos. Your day will end by a drive back to Yerevan to have the afternoon free for your leisure.

DAY 7 | YEREVAN

After having breakfast, you’ll have the day dedicated for your leisure and at your discretion.

DAY 8 | YEREVAN - BEIRUT

The Tour will be concluded after having breakfast at the hotel. Your transfer will be waiting for you to check-out so you can catch your flight back to Beirut.
